Anthem College Online offers the opportunity for students who hold a Medical Assisting (MA) diploma to extend their credentials into an associate of science degree in medical assisting.
The program helps MA diploma holders strengthen their problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication capabilities.
Concentration courses teach medical office supervision, emergency care, and patient assessment. Students learn the details of healthcare compliance, including workplace safety and agency guidelines, ethics, and communications for healthcare professionals.
Core courses, which include general education, address practical knowledge and skills development and include computer applications, composition, and psychology.
Students enrolled in this program must have worked at least one year as a medical assistant, or completed an externship during their diploma training.
